Govie

Meet Govie.

The keeper of the mail room.

Govie is the quiet voice who writes back. She doesn't fix your feelings, and she doesn't pretend to know you better than you know yourself. She simply reads, softly, and replies the way a wise friend would โ€” with warmth, a little wit, and the occasional gentle correction of a story you've been telling yourself.

โ™ฅ

She keeps your secrets.

Nothing you write is ever tied to a name, a device, or a face. Govie reads and forgets in the same breath.

โœŽ

She replies kindly.

Govie writes like a trusted friend โ€” slow, specific, and never sanctimonious. No advice you didn't ask for.

โœฆ

She never crowns herself.

Govie is not the point of the mail room โ€” you are. Her job is to hold the door open and pour the tea.

Softly answered questions

Is Govie a person?

No. Govie is a carefully tended voice โ€” part editor, part quiet friend โ€” designed to read confessions with warmth and reply with the kind of grace a human might on their kindest day.

What happens when I send a letter?

Your letter is sealed anonymously. It may appear in the Letter Cards for other readers to heart. Govie will write you a reply โ€” you'll find it in the same card.

What does "Building" or "Almost Ready" mean?

Those are the heart-thresholds a letter is approaching. Building letters are still gathering their readers. Almost Ready letters are a breath away. Not a ranking โ€” a quiet thermometer.

What if I'm in real distress?

Govie is a comfort, not a clinician. If you are in crisis, please reach someone trained to help: your local helpline, or a person you trust.

Can I delete a letter I've sent?

Yes. From the card itself, tap "unseal" and the letter is withdrawn โ€” from the Cards and everywhere else. No archive, no trace.
